Howdy--I was an early member who has been largely inactive the last seven years but wants to reconnect with the entrepreneurial world!
1) A bit about me: I'm a native New Yorker who believes in the American Dream. I've had a great rollicking ride in the unpredictable developments in the last 20 years of media and love what I do as Creatrix-in-Chief of IDEASMYTH.com. I mostly do my version of life coaching or creativity coaching, helping people maximize their talents and resources to achieve their dreams. I also write, teach writing and do other creativity workshops and retreats. More on my website: www.Ideasmyth.com
2) I just gave you a sneak preview on what I'm up to, what's next for me this year is figuring out to integrate interactivity with my services.
3) Some lessons I've learned:
--Whenever possible: under-promise and over-deliver and you'll never have to do any advertising to get more than enough clients--the word-of-mouth will happen naturally.
--If you're not having fun, don't SHOULD your business into the ground, make it fun or change your business! While fear and duty are effective motivators, they corrode the spirit in the long-term. Any long-term business is a marathon, you can't should yourself past an ambitious finish line and count on having many more in you.
